Within this sector, it is possible to tenfold your investment in a decade. Microsoft, Oracle, Facebook and Google are only a few names that attest the rapid growth. Investors of the early stage are multi-millionaires. However, I made a screen of the 20 biggest dividend payer within the technology sector. I excluded stocks from abroad and all with a market capitalization below USD 10 billion. 28 companies remained.

The whole sector has a total market capitalization of USD 123.53 billion and includes 878 stocks of which 201 pay dividends. The average sector yield amounts to 2.74 percent and the average P/E is 17.86. Computer based systems and long distance carriers as well as domestic telecoms are the best dividend paying industries.
