8 Stocks To Own For The Next 30 Years

What makes it so hard to understand what investors should do for the next 50 years is that we have an extremely hard time imagining possibilities that far into the future.

Look back at the differences between 1966 and today. Technology and societal trends are changing so fast that anyone transported from that time to today would barely comprehend the things we have done in this relatively short time.

For investors, though, this is where some of the greatest gains can be made, by buying and holding companies with rock-solid competitive advantages that will stand the test of time.

So we put the challenge of finding stocks that look to be great investments over the next 50 years. Here's what we find...

What Hedgefund Managers Buy And Sell: Facebook In - Apple Out

Recently, the quarterly SEC disclosures hit that give us a peek into the activities of the world’s best billionaire hedge fund managers.

Now, 13-F filings provide a ton of information, but you have to know exactly what to look for to make these filings useful.

Waren Buffett also published his latest buys and sells. Buffett is long on Apple. Check out his latest dividend stock buys here.

With that being said here is what caught my eye from the holdings of the world’s best billionaire hedge fund managers:

12 Attractive And Recession Proven Stocks With High Quality Dividends

Since major central banks began cutting interest rates in 2008, investors have been desperately searching for decent income from their investments. It's not easy.

Remember back when rates were at 5% when the financial crisis began, but within five months had shrunk to a record low of 0.5%. Most savings accounts still pay next to nothing, which is why dividend-paying equities remain incredibly popular.

A spectacular turnaround in corporate earnings post-2009 - the result of heavy cost-cutting and a return to economic growth in major global economies - left companies with pots of cash to fund bigger dividends.

That growth went unchecked until 2013 and then last year, when sectors such as oil ran into trouble. Others, like the mining industry, look shaky, too, raising some concern about the sustainability of payouts. It looks that it's only a question of time if they cut dividends but they are fighting tough against headwinds.

Attached you can find my latest stocks ideas that shift around those problems. Stocks with low debt, good earnings growth and a proven business model could stay dividends at current level or even hike them when the market gets more difficult.

Look at EMR. It's a great Dividend Aristocrat but the whole market environment is getting harder and harder but recently, they announced a small dividend hike of 1.06%.

These are much more examples. However, let's look at those stocks. Here are 12 stock ideas that might offer a great safeness in crises times and having a good or attractive valuation. Do you agree with me? Please let me know some of your thoughts by leaving a comment. Thank you.

Here are my results...

9 High-Yielding Dividend Stocks With A Big Free Cash Flow

Thanks to weak global economics and the much hyped rate hike by the Federal Reserve, it doesn’t appear as though the broader market are poised to resume their nascent rise anytime soon.

That doesn’t mean investors should shun stocks. It means investors need to be more discriminating in what they add to their portfolio.

If you want to follow in the footsteps of legendary investors like Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, and John Neff, then keep your eye out for high dividend-yielding stocks with lots of free cash flow, and strong fundamentals.

Free cash flow is the amount of “free cash,” or money left over after it pays for operations and necessary capital expenditures.

The more money a company has in the bank, the greater the chances are it can sustain or increase its high dividend yield, buy back shares, expand its business, or pay down debt. And ultimately, increase shareholder value.

One of the most common ways to calculate the free cash flow yield is to take the amount of free cash flow the company generates per share and divide it by the share price. Another popular way (and the equation I am using) is to divide the company’s free cash flow by the market cap. The higher the ratio, the more attractive the investment.

Below are 5 top stocks with high dividends and a big free cash flow that gives potential to pay high dividends in crisis times and hike them too.

These are the results....

10 High Dividend Paying Stocks That Caught My Attention After The Sell-Soff

We officially have a pullback. Over the course of a few short weeks, the S&P 500 has dropped by a little over 10%.

This pullback was a long time coming. After all, this is the first real correction in the S&P since November 2012. For sure, it was a hefty and quick reaction of the market and the rebound came also quickly. Panic selling was combined with panic buying.

Now that a real correction is in, value investors should start compiling a shopping list. This article looks at a few high-quality dividend names that I haven't been able to consider for a couple years.

These are the stocks that caught my attention during the recent sell-off:

5 Consistently Growing, Profitable, Well-capitalized Stocks With Ever-Increasing Dividend Yields

Sectors with consistent dividends – most notably, utilities – are treated like bonds and tend to do well in low-rate environments. That’s because yields move in the opposite direction of price. But when rates rise, prices fall.

What I'm looking for are companies that are consistently growing, consistently profitable, well-capitalized, as well as with an ever-increasing dividend yield.

In additon, it's good to look for companies that have consistency like consumer staple companied.

Here are some of the stocks with ever growing sales in the past.

George Soros Highest Yielding Dividend Stocks

Beside Warren Buffett, George Soros is also a popular investor. He was born in 1930 in Hungary where he fled in 1947 to avoid the onset of communism.

Soros went to England where he graduated from the London School of Economics. He then moved to the United States and eventually opened his own hedge fund which would later be called the Quantum Fund.

Here are four high-yield holdings in that fund. Soros managed to achieve a 30% annual return with high Quantum Fund.

Today I like to introduce those stocks from his portfolio with high yields. Here are the highest yielding large cap results:

5 High-Quality European Dividend Payers

When I read all these articles about investing strategies and look at the moves from big gurus, I see Europe as a dominant investing target.

As you might know, the ECB plans to embark on a bond-buying stimulus program totaling upwards of $1 trillion that will run through September 2016.

Improving growth prospects and upcoming stimulus efforts should investors consider European stocks; more specifically, we want to focus on high-quality, dividend-paying stocks that conservative investors may want to gain exposure to in an effort to geographically diversify their portfolios.

Buying abroad make sense in some way. I've published some interesting articles around this topic in the past.

Below are five fundamentally-sound sound European dividend stocks that can help beef up your portfolio’s overall yield:

Ex-Dividend Stocks: Best Dividend Paying Shares On April 23, 2013

The best yielding and biggest ex-dividend stocks researched by ”long-term-investments.blogspot.com”. Dividend Investors should have a quiet overview of stocks with upcoming ex dividend dates.

The ex dividend date is the final date on which the new stock buyer couldn’t receive the next dividend. If you like to receive the dividend, you need to buy the stock before the ex dividend date. I made a little screen of the best yielding stocks with a higher capitalization that have their ex date on the next trading day.

A full list of all stocks with payment dates can be found here: Ex-Dividend Stocks April 23, 2013. In total, 8 stocks and preferred shares go ex dividend - of which 3 yield more than 3 percent. The average yield amounts to 4.81%.

Here is the sheet of the best yielding, higher capitalized ex-dividend stocks:
