There are numerous studies suggesting that dividend-paying stocks are effective tools for accumulating wealth over an extended time horizon.
Simply investing in dividend-paying stocks, however, hardly limits the investable universe or indicates a realistic strategy.
More than two-thirds of the stocks in the S&P 500 pay dividends, including the majority of the larger companies in the benchmark.
Globally, there are thousands of dividend-paying stocks.
There are a number of strategies that further refine the idea of dividend investing, focusing only on dividend payers that meet certain yield, consistency, or balance sheet criteria.
The good thing for us normal investors is that we can easily discover some the most popular indices with focus on long term dividend growth in order to select high-quality dividend stocks.
Today I like to show you some of the 20 highest yielding stocks from the NASDAQ and NYSE Dividend Achievers Index. The strategy is ideal for high-income investors who don't want to invest into junk.
The NASDAQ US Dividend Achievers Select Index includes dividend-paying stocks that meet the following requirements:
- Be incorporated in the United States.
- Trade on the NYSE or NASDAQ.
- Have increased its annual dividend for the last ten or more consecutive years.
- Meet volume requirements.
- The NASDAQ OMX maintains the NASDAQ US Dividend Achievers Select Index.

13 Dividend Champions That Have Achieved The Highest 10-Year Dividend Growth Rates
Dividend growth investing is sustainable when derived from consistent earnings growth. In its true form, successful dividend growth investing is characterized by instances where annual earnings and dividend growth are almost identical.
In addition, companies that exhibit such traits tend to have their current yields being in the same range of 2% – 3% during prolonged periods of time.
Ordinary yield-chasing investors tend to ignore such companies because they lack the patience or foresight to care for high future yields on cost or strong total returns.
As a result, many of these companies offer low current yields, which tend to stay low for extended periods of time. The lucky investors who purchased such securities however are able to generate high yields on cost over time.
Below, I've selected the 13 dividend champions that have achieved the highest 10-year dividend growth rates.

These 24 Stocks Growing Dividends By More Than 10% Over A Decade
Recently, I wrote that dividend growth is very important for long-term orientated investors who don't like to trade stocks and follow a buy and hold strategy. I've created a screen to that article, showing the fastest dividend growers from the S&P 500.
Today I like to show you a screen with high quality stocks which have raised dividends over more than 25 years at rates over 10% yearly for a decade. In total, 24 stocks appear on my radar.

3 Unbelievable Dividend Champions With Zero Debt And Promising Payout Growth
Investors should be careful while investing in stocks under different sectors. You might be tempted to invest in stocks that pay out high dividends, but what you also need to check is whether these companies have any debts or not.
If a company has huge debts, you must strictly stay away from it, however high its dividends are. Such companies cannot be trusted upon to pay out high dividends in the future as the cash flow that they generate would be used for settling debts.
A company that pays out a reasonable rate of dividend and has very little debts is still a better choice. However the best choice would be a company with absolutely no debt at all. Are there any companies like these? If yes, which ones are best in terms of growth?
Today I show you the fastest growing Dividend Champions with zero debt. Those stocks have a double-digit earnings growth forecast for the next five years as well as a low debt to equity ratio of less than 0.1.

Dividend Champions With Over 15% Earnings Growth
Some people say that growth can
justify each price. That might be truth but means also that most the risk is
assigned to the investor.
When Twitter and
Facebook have valuation multiples of over 50x of the expected earnings, you
have to fear of downside when the growth does not come.
I love investing
on classical fundamentals like P/E, CAPEX, Free Cash-Flow, net debt ratios and
business predictability.
It's only a small
idea of my criteria I do check when I discover a company. Let me mention one
thing: There is no perfect stock that fulfills all of the essential criteria.
Today I like to
show you some of the fastet growing stocks within the Dividend Champions League. Those stocks have risen dividends over more than 25 consecutive years
and forecast EPS growth of more than 15%.

Many smaller
capitalized stocks are on the attached list. It's easily to understand that
smaller companies can growth faster because of their size in relation to the
market potential but when you look at Apple you also may understand that it's
only a question of definition. Each company, whoever great it may be, should
grow at a high rate.

20 Dividend Champs With Highest 10-Year Dividend Growth
If you are a real dividend growth
investor, you look more at the pace of the dividend growth than on the yield of
the stock.
A stock that is
raising dividends very fast will hit the yield of a slow growing high yielder
very soon.
I've also predicted in the past
that it makes more sense to bet on fast growing stocks that are reasonable
priced than on stocks with high yields and decreasing earnings growth.
Today I like to
show you some of the 20 stocks from the Dividend Champions list with the
fastest dividend growth over the recent decade.

9 Dividend Achievers With A Strong Buy Rating
Analysts often have a good sense about the development of stocks due to their intensive research related to the company.
Not all analysts predict the correct economic development but they do a very good basic desk research and they have conversations with the management teams of the company, so not many people a as good informed as analysts.
Today I've listed all stocks with more than 10 years of consecutive dividend growth (Dividend Achievers) and a strong buy rating. Only nine companies have received the highest buy rating by analysts. Six of them are listed on the technology stock exchange NASDAQ.
Only four firms have a market capitalization over one billion US-Dollar. Keep in mind that those stocks also contain a higher risk for invvestors.

20 Dividend Champions With Highest Cash Distribution Growth Rates Over The Short-Run
Dividend Champions with
the fastest short-term dividend growth originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. A growing dividend is normally
a good sign for investors. The corporate shows two characteristics to their owners:
Strength and power of a healthy and growing business.
The rate of dividend growth is in this context a
great measure to judge the success of a business. A company with a 20 percent
dividend growth rate must have a stronger growing underlying business than a corporate
with a 3 percent growing dividend. The future looks rosy and the management team is more optimistic to share profits of the company at a high level.
Firms that hike dividends faster than inflation,
deliver accelerated growth or maintain growth at a high level, can pass returns to shareholders.
Today I would like to present you the 20 fastest growing dividends from the Dividend
Champions list over the short-run. 105 companies are part of the list which is a compilation of stocks
with over 25 years of consecutive dividend growth.
And the winners are: Services and industrials. No other
sectors have more constituents on the list. It was the best place to be in the past to gain a higher dividend. This is not equal to return or profits.
