    I take exception to your listing of stocks. ARCP suspended its dividend in Decembe 2014, and has not resumed payments. Also, PGH recently reduced its dividend by quite a bit to roughly .01 monthly.
    Oils are far from safe investments at this time in general, and should not be recommended to investors that might be far from experienced.

    In addition to ARCP and PGH noted above FSC, BTE and ERF have had recent dividend cuts which were substantial.

  3. Seems like stock dividends are the only game left in town for those seeking a decent return treasury securites are a losing game for investors along with most other high quality paper

  4. Looks like the safest stock is Realty Income - they are increasing the dividend for a long time, no cuts or suspensions whatsoever.
