16 Oversold Dividend Stocks Are Now Cheap Enough To Buy Now

As the markets reached recently fresh new highs, income investors are on the lookout for stocks with solid dividend yields that have strong fundamentals and are oversold due to the year's volatility.

It's hard to find cheaply priced stocks in such a hot priced environment.

Looking at the stocks' technical charts can help determine whether the fundamentals can be further supported.

Not surprisingly, this year's market volatility has wreaked havoc on many strong dividend stocks.

Today we've screened the market by cheap stocks (forward P/E under 15) with an oversold definition by RSI 40.

We also excluded all stocks with a market capitalization over 2 billion. In addition, the ROA is positive and the debt-to equity under 1.

16 stocks are meeting the above mentioned criteria of which 2 a High-Yields.

These are the results in detail...

19 Dividend Stocks With A Cash Return Yield Over 10%

Dividends and share buybacks help increase value for people holding a stock, and there's a lot of money to be had as companies shovel record amounts of cash back to shareholders.

We recognize activist investors often agitate for firms to return excess cash to shareholders via buybacks. However, while repurchases may lift share prices in the near term, they are a questionable use of cash at the current time when the median S&P 500 multiple is so high. In our view, acquisitions – particularly in the form of stock deals – represent a more compelling strategic use of cash than buybacks given the current stretched valuation of US equities.

I've compiled a list of the top 19 stocks, all with a total cash return yield of more than 10%. Below include how much of the return is from dividends or buybacks. You'll also find a comment about cash returns from company executives on the during their latest quarterly earnings call.

9 Of The Cheapest Large Cap Dividend Stocks The Market Has To Offer (GM, MET, AFL)

Today I screened the market by large cap bargains. Those stocks have a market cap over USD 10 billion as well as a future P/E ratio of less than 10.

I know how hard it is to find real investment opportunities. I personally bought some insurance stocks in the past because those are relatively cheap valuated and they offer a little upside with rising interest rates, despite the fact that they also could get hurt due the their huge fixed income portfolio.

Within the dividend growth community, some traders have announced that they have put Deere stocks into their portfolio. I also own stocks of Deere because its one of the leading companies within the farm and soft commodity space.

Below are five dividend ideas with single-digit forward P/E ratios and positive earnings growth for the next five years while debt ratios are acceptable.

These are the criteria in detail:

- Forward P/E under 10
- 5Y future earnings growth positive
- Large Caps
- Dividends positive
- Long-term debt-to-equity under 1

The selection is not huge. Attached is also a list with all details from the screen. Nine stocks are in focus of the screen.

5 Cheaply Valueated Dividend Stocks...

10 Large Cap Dividend Stocks Close To New 52-Week Highs And A Single P/E Multiple

Cheaply valuated dividend stocks close to new 52-Week-Highs originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. The markets are at all time highs and the valuations is getting more and more expensive, measured by earnings multiples. Not all stocks are highly priced. Out there are still a lot of opportunities with a single P/E multiple.

Today I would like to show you those stocks that are close to new 52-Week-Highs and having a single earnings multiple at the same time. In order to reduce the results, I observed only companies with a market capitalization over USD 10 billion.

Ten stocks fulfilled my criteria of a very low P/E and a stock price up to 3 percent below new highs. All ten have a current buy or better rating.

Bruce Berkowitz’s Latest Stock Buys And His Full Portfolio Holdings

Bruce Berkowitz’s Fund Portfolio Strategies originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. Bruce Berkowitz is also a well known guru investor. He is a hedge fund manager who cares about $7.69 billion in his asset management vehicle Fairholme Capital Management.

Within the recent quarter, Bruce made nine asset transactions of which six pay dividends. Four of the stock moves are attributable to the long side and five are on the short side.

In total, Bruce owns now only 13 share positions of which two were completely new (Lincoln National and Hartford Financial). In addition, he sold-out three stocks within the recent quarter.

Financial stocks dominate his asset strategy. Around 68 percent of his total assets have a relationship to the financial sector.

The biggest position is his portfolio is reasonable to the insurer, AIG who represents around 50 percent of his full portfolio.

Nothing changed much in sum. Bruce made no big changes within the recent quarter. The highest trade impact on the long side had the 4.53 percent position increase of Sears Holdings.
