The biggest problem with my desk research is that I ever find tons of stock ideas that have performed very well in the past and have hiked dividends with high rates over decades but over the time, they have weaken and show a slowing dividend growth rate. That's not what I like to see.

Today I would highlight five of the top dividend growth stocks that have kept a strong dividend increasing rate over the short-term. Those stocks have raised their dividend distributions over the past year by more than 10 percent.

15 Large Cap Dividend Stocks With Low Debt I Like In A Low Interest Environment

Large Cap dividend stocks with very low debt and stock beta ratios originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. You know that I also cover stocks with low beta ratios, also mentioned as stocks with a lower correlation to the market.

I’ve published a long list with over 120 stocks about large capitalized stocks with safe haven characteristics. For sure, safe is nothing on an angry sea but I believe these could be some values in my screen.

Today I like to show you the lowest leveraged stocks from the safe haven large cap list with a minimum dividend payout of 1 percent.

That’s not much and the low interest environment also keeps the capital and interest income of the corporates at a low level but I think it’s much easier to boost growth and increase future dividends for a low debt corporation than it would be for a high leveraged company.

Fifteen stocks fulfilled these criteria of which six have a current buy or better rating.

Cheapest Dividend Paying Large Caps As of October 2013

Cheap large capitalized stocks with high growth originally published at “long-term-investments.blogspot.com. I always look for stocks with a cheap valuation and modest growth perspectives.

While the interest environment is low, the market valuation is extraordinary high and it’s more important to take care about a solid price in order to ensure not to overpay a stocks.

Each month I create a quick list that allows me to observe the market by the cheapest growth picks. You can find my criteria below.

These are the criteria for my cheapest dividend paying large cap screen:
- Market Capitalization over USD 10 billion
- Expected Earnings per share growth over 10 percent for the next five years
- Forward P/E ratio under 15
- P/S under 1 and P/B ratio under 2
- Positive Dividends

Only fourteen stocks fulfilled these criteria of which twelve have a current buy or better rating by brokerage firms.

13 Large Cap Financials With High Potential To Boost Dividends

Financial dividend stocks with low payout ratios and relatively small debt figures originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. I started an article serial about stocks with low dividend payout ratios and small debt figures this month.

I believe that these two ratios have a big impact to judge the ability of a corporate to grow at a faster pace and hike dividends in the future.

Today I would like to discover the financial sector by stocks with a less than 20 percent dividend payout ratio and a debt to equity leverage of less than one. Because of the huge amount of results, I will only look at those stocks with a market capitalization over USD 10 billion.

Exactly thirteen financial stocks fulfilled these criteria of which one is a High-Yield.

Software Giant Microsoft Is The New Stock Buy For My Passive Income Portfolio

Past Friday, I purchased shares of the software giant Microsoft. The company has a P/E of 13.08 which should fall to a ratio of 11.32 by next year. Earnings growth of 8.7 percent for the next five years is forecasted by analysts.

Microsoft announced recently to raise their future dividends by 22 percent and buy back $40 billion in own shares. This should drive trading volume into the stock. The expected dividend yield is 3.31 percent.

I believe that the microsoft stock has still potential to grow dividends in the future. Despite the weakness with the implementation of new technologies, Microsoft is still a growth stock. Sales more than doubled within the past decade and earnings increased by a factor of 2.5x. That's pretty good for the company with $77 billion cash and $12.6 billion long-term debt.

However, I put 40 shares at $33.88 into the Dividend Yield Passive Income Portfolio. The total purchase amount resulted in $1,360 which should bring additional $45 in yearly dividends.

--------------------------------------
For readers who are new to the matter and my dividend growth philosophy: I funded a virtual portfolio with 100k on October 04, 2012 with the aim to build a passive income stream that doubles each five to ten years. I plan to purchase each week one stock holding until the money is fully invested. The total number of constituents is expected at 50 – 70 companies and the dividend income should be at least at $3,000 per year.
--------------------------------------

Over the full year, the expected dividend income amounts to $2,485. With around $27,400 in deposited cash, it’s still possible to reach the $3,000 by the end of this year.

The full portfolio holdings are up 6.23 percent in average. Due to the high cash amount and slow buying process in a gaining market, the complete portfolio performance is only 5.85 percent.
