19 Dividend Stocks With A Cash Return Yield Over 10%

Dividends and share buybacks help increase value for people holding a stock, and there's a lot of money to be had as companies shovel record amounts of cash back to shareholders.

We recognize activist investors often agitate for firms to return excess cash to shareholders via buybacks. However, while repurchases may lift share prices in the near term, they are a questionable use of cash at the current time when the median S&P 500 multiple is so high. In our view, acquisitions – particularly in the form of stock deals – represent a more compelling strategic use of cash than buybacks given the current stretched valuation of US equities.

I've compiled a list of the top 19 stocks, all with a total cash return yield of more than 10%. Below include how much of the return is from dividends or buybacks. You'll also find a comment about cash returns from company executives on the during their latest quarterly earnings call.

War Stocks: 8 Interesting Military, Aerospace & Defense Dividend Stocks Income Investors Need

Military expenditure shrunk in 2013 by 1.9% but not all countries are spending less.

Military spending in North America and in Western and Central European countries has continued to decline, while other countries such as Brazil and Russia have increased their arms investments.

I'm not a military guy but my guess is that it could be possible to come back to cold war times. Maybe Europe is creating an own army to fight against Russia. There is a lot of rumor in the market.

Who might benefit? Defense and Aerospace stocks. Today, I've created a small overview of defense stocks with good dividends that might catch a good part of military budget.

You can also get more dividend ideas from the military and defense industry in my recent articles.

5 Stocks That Warren Buffett Would Love: Part II

Yesterday, I wrote about stocks that Warren Buffett would love.

I introduced five picks that are often mentioned when analysts talk about potential takeover targets by the guru investor from Omaha.

Today I will continue this stock idea spinning by showing you additional companies that fulfill the following criteria:

- Return on Common Equity over 10%
- Excludes Banks, Brokerages, Asset Managers, Technology, Biotechnology Companies

There are a few stocks available on the market that fulfill these restrictions. Some of those stocks are still in his latest portfolio but there are also many fresh ideas as you might have seen in the first part of this article serial.

15 Cheap High Beta Industrial Dividend Stocks

Industrial dividend stocks with high beta ratios at a cheap valuation originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. I love it to look for cheap stocks but bargains at the market are really hard to find especially because of the hundreds of thousands metrics you can use to identify an undervalued stock.

A major criterion which is often used by many investors is the price to earnings ratio. It tells you how many years do you need to get your investment back in corporate earnings. The lower the ratio, the cheaper your investment is. A P/E of 10 also means that the earnings yield is at 10 percent.
This month, I’ve created an article serial about high beta stocks. Those stocks are stronger correlated than the overall market and tend to outperform the broad S&P 500 in bullish times. They also tend to lose performance when the markets are going down.

Today I would like to screen high beta dividend stocks from the industrial sector with a cheap forward P/E ratio. Only fifteen stocks from the sector fulfilled these criteria and eleven of them are currently recommended to buy.

50 Fastest Growing Dividend Stocks In May 2013

Stocks with highest dividend growth originally researched by Dividend Yield – Stock, Capital, Investment. When a company raises dividends, it’s always a good sign. A firm with a growing dividend let your passive income grow and could put you on the next level of your financial freedom.

But more important than a dividend hike is the intensiveness of the dividend growth. A one percent hike each year is good but it won’t help you over the time. What you need is a stronger growth, something in the range around the 10 percent level.

Today I run my screen of the 50 fastest dividend growers from last month. Below the results are again some pretty good stocks with very good growth rates. All stocks still have a double digit-growth rate. The average dividend growth of the 50 best stocks amounts to 49.42 percent. The average yield is at 3.47 percent.

Industrial Dividend Stocks With Cheapest Forward P/E's

Dividend stocks from the industrial sector with very low forward P/E ratios originally published at "long-term-investments.blogspot.com". The cheapest large cap industrial dividend stocks, measured by the lowest forward P/E, are valuated between 8.27 and 14.08. Sixteen of the 20 cheapest industrial stocks have a current buy or better rating.

Industrials are more cyclic by its nature but they can give you a boost for your portfolio, especially when the economy is in a rush. My favorite buying sector is still the consumer sector. I love consumer stocks because of the high-margins and strong consumer loyalty which results in relative robust sales. Consumer stocks are subject of my analysis within the next week.
