When it comes to dividends, Warren Buffett won't dish them out -- but he will take them.
Buffett has for years maintained a strict no-dividends policy at Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) (BRK.B). The conglomerate has paid only one dividend during his tenure, in 1967, and he has joked that he "must have been in the bathroom" when the decision was made.
"The question is about evaluating Berkshire when it doesn't pay any dividends," the billionaire said in a 1998 lecture at the University of Florida Business School. "And it won't pay dividends, either. That's a promise I can keep. All you get with Berkshire stock is that you can stick it in your safe deposit box, and every year you take it out and fondle it."
While Buffett won't distribute dividends to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, he has no qualms about collecting them from others. Most of the companies in his investment portfolio make regular dividend payments.
Attached you will find a list of Warren Buffett's latest stock holding buys and sells. Airlines are a major buy on Warren Buffett's shopping list.
For sure, financials, energy and media stocks are also long investment for the investment guru Warren Buffett.

These Are Warren Buffett’s 5 Top Dividend Stocks
Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway isn’t known as a top dividend stock, but that doesn’t mean that Buffett doesn’t understand the power of income investing.
“The Oracle of Omaha” has maintained a strict no-dividend policy at the insurance giant for years. Since 1962, Berkshire has paid out only one distribution to shareholders; Warren Buffett even joked he, “must have been in the bathroom,” when that decision was made.
But while he may be stingy with shareholders, Buffett doesn’t mind collecting dividends himself. Every year, the conglomerate earns billions in distributions.
His portfolio has become a virtual “who’s who” of top dividend stocks. So if you’re looking for yield, you could do worse than skimming through Berkshire’s holdings.
No, the company isn’t a good idea for income investing, but Warren Buffett’s portfolio is filled with some of the best dividend stocks around. Here are five:

Warren Buffett Sells This First Class Stock And Buys Another Profit Machine
Warren Buffett is one of the most successful
investors due to is massive investment success. His strategy is classified as
value growth, a combination of value and growth.
Recently, I
watched his latest portfolio activities via 13F fillings. As a result, we
know that he bought one new stock and increased two additional stakes.
On the sell side,
he sold out two companies and reduced three stocks. The biggest of them by investment
amount were Philips 66, followed by Viacom.
Do you believe
that Buffett is right with the stake reduction of Viacom? I don't think so. For
sure, Charter is a better growth pick but if Viacom changes it's strategy from
a buyback value pick to a growth stock, there could be a huge potential for
investors.
However, these are
the latest stock purchases by Warren Buffett. Attached is also a list of stocks
with all activities of the recent quarter. Please leave a comment if you have
something to discuss. Thank
you.

Warren Buffett Buys Precision Castparts. These Are 11 Dividend Alternatives From The Industry
Warren Buffett used his trigger to shoot a white elephant. He announced to buy Precision Castparts, a metal fabrication company with focus on the aero plane industry.
PCP is a huge investment for Warren Buffett.
Today I like to introduce some alternatives from the same industry. 18 public listed companies are located to the metal fabricaton industry but only 6 stocks have a market capitalization of more than 1 billion USD.
There is a huge conentration in the industry. PCP next competitor, Tenaris, has a 15 billion market cap, nealy half the value Warren Buffett paid for PCP.

8 Small Cap Dividend Growth Stocks Warren Buffett Would Love
Today I'd like to share small-capstocks with businesses that are both understandable and durable, but trade at
prices I personally deem too high. All businesses have traits Buffett would
love: durable brands, strong competitive positions, and low-cost advantages. If
Mr. Market gives me a deal, I'll be buying shares of each with both hands.
The fascinating
thing about low market valuations is that the company can grow at a faster pace
because their current market potential seems to be enormous.
The bad thing
about those stocks is that they offer a higher risk. However, let's try the screen and face the
facts.

Warren Buffett Buys Surprisingly These 8 Dividend Stocks
He created a
massive portfolio in his life which is worth around $107 billion. Recently,
Warren announced his latest stock buys and sells during the past quarter.
His moves are
watched closely because value and dividend growth investors try to catch a new
idea from his thoughts and strategic buys and sells.
During the past
quarter, Warren bought eight stocks and reduced seven positions. He did not
close a full position or initiated a new.
The biggest
acquisition by value was Wells Fargo, followed by Visa. Most of his stock increases had a P/E of less than 15 and pay a dividend.

The Secret Guide to Stocks That Warren Buffett Targets
When you look for attractive investment opportunities, you might have taken a deeper look at the activities of the professionals like George Soros, Bill Ackman or Warren Buffett.
Warren Buffett is one of the most respected investors in the world and his investment criteria are simple: Buy a growing business with inimitable assets at a reasonable price. Here are his criteria from his annual letter in detail:
Warren Buffett is one of the most respected investors in the world and his investment criteria are simple: Buy a growing business with inimitable assets at a reasonable price. Here are his criteria from his annual letter in detail:
(1) Large
purchases (at least $75 million of pre-tax earnings unless the business will
fit into one of our existing units),
(2) Demonstrated
consistent earning power (future projections are of no interest to us, nor are
“turnaround” situations),
(3) Businesses
earning good returns on equity while employing little or no debt,
(4) Management in
place (we can’t supply it),
(5) Simple
businesses (if there’s lots of technology, we won’t understand it),
(6) An offering
price (we don’t want to waste our time or that of the seller by talking, even
preliminarily, about a transaction when price is unknown).
It sounds simple
but often it is hard to find concrete stocks that could meet his restrictions.
Today I like to
close this gap by introducing some stocks that would appear on Warren Buffett's investing radar.

10 Most Popular Dividend Stocks Bought By Investment Gurus
Recently I published an article
about Warren Buffett's latest dividend stock buys and sells of the recent

I'm ever surprised
about his new investment. He bought Deere, a great company with high market
share in the farmer’s equipment segment, while I was selling it due to high
debt loads and operational headwinds.

8 Stocks to Beat Warren Buffett's Portfolio Return Easily
Warren Buffett is one of the most
trusted investors in the world. When he put money on the table, many
institutional investors follow his moves and discover if they could make any
money with the stocks he has chosen.
When I look at the
recent earnings figures of some of his investments, I saw that many stocks
reported results not in-line with investor’s expectations. As a result, they
got sold massively out.
IBM, Coca Cola,
Tesco, Exxon and now diabetes drug maker Sanofi who lost yesterday nine
percent. Are these long-term opportunities or will they run flat in the future?
I don't know but what I know is that some of the past results of those
companies are not comparable to the current economic environment.
I personally
checked some of his new investments and came to the result that Warren is
building a new investment company, based on energy and capital intensive
stocks.
I'm a fundamental
driven growth investors who love to see that the company is paying a good part
of its free cash flow to shareholders.

The market has
many great companies to offer which have doubled sales in the past decade and
paid 40 percent of the current stock price in dividends over the recent ten
years. That's a good number in my view.
Today, when the
markets have recovered, I start a new screen of high-quality dividend stocks
with attractive fundamentals. I know that it is hard to find cheap companies in
highly valuated markets but sometimes we must be creative to calculate the real
values.
Below are five
ideas with double digit-expected earnings per share growth figures for the next
five years. They have also a lower beta than the overall market and acceptable
debt-to-equity ratios.

stocks from different sectors and industries in order to create a good
diversification. What do you think about my new ideas? Are they good enough to
buy or do you still have some of them? Please let me know and thank you for

Warren Buffett Buys An Auto Dealer - Here Are 5 Top Dividend Paying Alternatives
Yesterday,
news jumped into the market: The oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffett the mastermind behind the investment holding Berkshire Hathaway, bought an auto dealer. What - Auto and Dealer?
Yes, Buffett acquired an auto dealer. He still owns
shares of car manufacturer General Motors and adds a fully business from the
distribution site. The company named Van Tuyl Group and generated sales of just under USD 8 billion.
Van Tuyl Group says it is the biggest
privately owned auto dealership group in the U.S. It has 78 independently
operated dealerships and more than 100 franchises in 10 states. The company
will be renamed Berkshire Hathaway Automotive and be based in Dallas.
The deal
comes amid ongoing consolidation in the industry. Publicly traded giants, including
Florida-based AutoNation and Oregon-based Lithia Motors have been snapping up
smaller retail chains, often run by families who have been selling cars for
generations.
It also could be possible that Buffett buys the Van Tuyl Group in order to create a new channel to sell auto insurance policies.
I've also had some of my eyes on auto parts
and car dealers in the past. The main problem was for me that they have no good
diversification abroad. Most companies generate revenues in the United States
but they have shown strong growth.
Below are five dividend paying
alternatives from the auto dealership industry. Most of the industry members
pay no dividends but for nearly all, double-digit earnings growth is predicted. If you like to follow my stories, please subscribe my blog news.

3 Fairly Priced High-Margin Stocks Warren Buffett Would Like
Everybody wants to make money, big
money over the long-haul. You put money into a stock and get twice of this
amount back in 10 years. That's great and I have often invested into stocks
that doubled in a decade easily.
Today I like to
come back to return. It's very important to see that the company makes good
profits on its annual sales. The higher the margin, net or operational, the
better is the market dominance of the firm.
I like companies
with high margins, Google and Apple have unbelievable high margins. You might
wonder but they have no direct competition and can charge customers each price
they want, there is no alternative and if you need those products or you think
you must have them, you must pay the bill.

Warren Buffett is
also a great investor who invested into stocks that produce high returns on
invested capital. It's the guarantee that the firm makes internal revenues
which could be used to pay investors.
I ran a screen that searched for the accompanying criteria:
- Average returns on invested capital > 12% over the last 5 years
- Current return on invested capital > its 5-year average
I sifted further for organizations with a long history of solid sales and profit improvements combined with robust, and enhancing, net revenues that are not profoundly leveraged by debt. I added the accompanying extra criteria:
- Average sales growth > 10% over the last 5 years
- Average EPS growth > 10% over the last 5 years
- Average operating profit margin > 10% over the last 5 years
- Current operating profit margin > its 5-year average
3 companies jumped on top of my screen. Very informative...
