100 Most Bought Stocks By Popular Investment Gurus

100 most bought stocks by investment professionals originally published on Dividend Yield – Stock, Capital, Investment

I personally follow the activities from Warren Buffett. He is a highly trusted investor with a proven long-term track record. I also look at Carl Ichan’s (estimated net worth of USD 20 billion) stock purchases because he is one younger investor who can replace Warren Buffett's presence one day.

Both have a different view on the capital market but they are very successful in the way how they act. These two guys are only an example of people who have build a great career on Wall-Street and developed to a top investment guru.

Investment gurus are asset or fund managers with big amounts of cash under management. They became popular by big returns and spectacular investment strategies. I also talk about investors like George Soros. They all have one thing in common: The average return beats the market and if they invest, the market follows.

In order to find the hottest stocks at the investment premier league, I made a screen of the biggest stock buys from 49 super investors over the recent six months and ranked them in my 100 best guru buy list. They all combined bought 569 stocks within the recent half year.

The top stock picks are now Berkshire Hathaway and AIG. Berkshire was bought by 14 gurus and AIG stakes were increased by 12 investors. Technology dividend stocks and insurers are hot picks within the guru scene. 71 of the top 100 guru stock buys pay dividends.

100 Most Sold Stocks By Famous Investment Gurus

Stocks with recent short activities by investment professionals originally published at Dividend Yield – Stock, Capital, Investment. Sometimes it’s good to know what others do. Maybe they know something what you haven’t seen or maybe you get some new ideas about where they are wrong in order to bet against them.

Recently, I made a screen of the 100 most loved stocks from 49 super investors over the recent six month. Now I like to highlight the biggest stock sells from 49 super investors over the recent six months and ranked them in my 100 most guru sells list. They all sold in total 530 different stocks within the past half-year.

The most sold stocks are Microsoft (MSFT), AIG and Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B). As you might think, insurers are not very popular. Maybe the long-term perspectives in a low interest environment or the bond bubble make investors anxious.

17 Cheap Growth Stocks From The Basic Material Sector With Current Dividend Payments

Basic material dividend stocks with highest expected growth and low price ratios originally published at "long-term-investments.blogspot.com". Good stocks to buy are hard to find. But what are good stocks?

Good investment indicators

Primarily it’s a question of your investment philosophy or screening criteria. I am focused on dividend stocks with great yields, strong market positions and low limitations to grow. I also invest into stocks with no yields or low dividend payments.

Don’t look at the yield alone

The dividend yield is only an expression and should never be a single investment criterion. I know so many people who only look at the P/E ratio and the dividend yield and argue that the stock is cheap at a P/E below 10. That’s too easy. If the company has no debt, you should look the enterprise value.

Growth is the value driver

More important is growth. If a company doubles every 3 years sales and earnings, it’s normal that the stock is highly valuated. Stock valuation is a very complex area.

Today I like to screen some opportunities from the basic material sector. 595 stocks are available with a relationship to the raw material sector – nearly 300 of them pay dividends. The average sector P/E ratio amounts to 11.08 at a yield of 2.98 percent.

I screened large capitalized stocks with very high expected earnings per share growth for the next five years (over 10 percent) and a low forward P/E ratio of less than 15. Seventeen stocks fulfilled my criteria of which twelve are currently recommended to buy. Two High-Yields are below the results.

100 Top Stocks Bought By Major Investment Gurus

100 most bought stocks by investment professionals originally published on Dividend Yield – Stock, Capital, Investment. I often take a look at the activities of well-known investment guru’s. Sure, hedge fund managers and activists are active investors who want to change something on the business model in order to push the current stock price. Ackman or Einhorn are such persons. I don’t follow them in detail but they are part of the screening results and due to their big influence, it makes sense to look at what they do.

Investment gurus are asset or fund managers with big amounts of cash under management. They became popular by big returns and spectacular investment strategies. I talk about investors like George Soros and Warren Buffett. They all have one thing in common: The average return beats the market and if they invest, the market follows.

I always screen picks from Warren Buffett. He has a solid investment decision process and selects stocks I also like. Sometimes he gives me new ideas about long-term investments or about growth opportunities which I haven’t considered for the time being.

In order to find the hottest stocks at the investment premier league, I made a screen of the biggest stock buys from 49 super investors over the recent six month and ranked them in my 100 best guru buy list. They all combined bought 449 stocks within the past half year.

The top stocks are now Microsoft and AIG International. Microsoft was purchased by 9 stock market professionals and AIG by 8. Exactly 60 percent of the top ten buys have a relationship to the technology sector. Investors still love this field because of the high growth potential and strong cash flows. But technology stocks are no big dividend payer.

50 Top Stocks With The Highest Dividend Growth In January 2013

Shares with highest dividend growth from last month by Dividend Yield – Stock, Capital, Investment. Dividend growth is one of the biggest wealth drivers. If you buy a stock with a 2 percent yield you might know that this can’t help you. You are right especially when you have invested only $1,000, your dividend income would only $20. That's not much when you consider that you have around $10 trading costs.

Dividend growth helps you to grow your passive income. Normally, a solid stock should double its dividend payments over ten years. This means that your yield on cost would rise to 4 percent.

I often had stocks in my portfolio that beat this growth rates. Sure they were more risky than stocks like Procter & Gamble or Coca Cola but they all had a margin of safety for me. My yield on cost was after 5 years over 10 percent.

Today I like to show you the 50 fastest dividend growth stocks from the last 30 days. There are some pretty good stocks with very good growth rates which indicate a strong business health. The average dividend growth of the 50 best stocks amounts to 68.40 percent. Remember, if you have such stocks, your yield on cost goes up over 10 percent in less than two years!

I personally have no stocks from the list. I don’t know why. Maybe there are too many financial and oil stocks on the list. More than half of the results have a current buy or better rating.

32 Stocks Raised Dividends Last Week | Oil & Gas Companies Are Big Players

I love dividends and dividend growth stocks because they are one of my major wealth driver. That’s the main reason why I make a regular screen of the latest stocks with dividend growth on my blog “long-term-investments.blogspot.com”.

I believe that companies with rising dividends should have a well running business and could have a better performance in the long-run. Below is a current list of companies that have announced a dividend hike within the recent week. In total, 32 stocks and funds raised dividends of which 18 have a dividend growth of more than 10 percent. The average dividend growth amounts to 25.33 percent.

Below the top dividend growth stocks are eight with a high yield. 16 companies are currently recommended to buy or even have a strong buy rating.

If I scroll through the list, I find many oil and gas companies as well as financial stocks. Banks pay more dividends in order to establish pre-financial crises level. Well, that’s still far away.

Oil & Gas pipeline operators raised dividends very continuously in the past. They benefit from the fact that America experiences a new oil rush with shale gas and shale oil. The new energy sources must be transported with an infrastructure that does not exist for the time being.

It could be more interesting to look at railroad stocks. I try to make a screen in the near future. What are your thoughts about the lastest dividend growth stocks? Do you own some of them? Would you buy one of them? Please let me know and leave a comment in the box below!

20 Highly Recommended Basic Material Stocks | Top Stock Buy List

Stocks from the basic material sector with highest buy ratings originally published at "long-term-investments.blogspot.com".

We all want to make profits from stock trading and we have a clear focus on dividends because the regular payments are a great cash source for new investments. Above that, the dividend payments hedge us against stock price losses.

Today I like to progress with my January serial “most recommended stocks” and I like to go forward with the basic material sector. Out there are around listed 600 companies linked to the basic material sector. The sector was last year the worst performing category with an increase of 4.6 percent and should have upside potential if our economic environment changes.

It looks that investors avoid cyclic stocks. But the basic material sector has more to offer. I talk about the possibility of high scalable profits. It all depends mainly on China and how fast the economy could recover. For the time being there are no greater sings for a gaining momentum.

However, below is a small list of the 20 most recommended basic material stocks with a higher capitalization (over USD 2 billion); fifteen of the best buy rated raw material companies pay dividends and four have a high yield (over five percent).

Best Basic Material Dividend Stock Buy Picks For 2013

Basic material stocks became popular with the increase in raw material prices due to the strong growth of China from the recent year. Not only directly commodity mining stocks exploded, also supplier of mining equipment started to boom. The basic material sector is a small investment field with around 600 listed companies. I made a list of the best stocks picks for next year. My criteria are:

- Forward P/E under 15
- Past 5Y Sales growth over 10 percent
- Earnings per share growth for the next five years over 10 percent
- Operating Margin over 10 percent
- Market capitalization above USD 10 billion

Nine higher capitalized stocks remained the screening criteria of which eight are currently recommended to buy. The results are dominated by stocks from the oil & gas equipment and services industry. I am not sure if these picks could be the best growth driver for your private wealth. Sure, America is expected to have a current energy boom due to shale gas.
