Half-Time Report: The Best Healthcare Dividend Stocks And Which Of Them Are The Cheapest

Healthcare dividend stocks with the highest year-to-date performance originally published at "long-term-investments.blogspot.com". We’ve completed the month June and it’s time to report which stocks have risen most within the first six months of the year. It’s ever good to see which stocks are hot in the market and which of them are still cheap valuated.

That’s the main reason why I like to produce an article serial with performance figures of the best performing stocks from several sectors of the financial market.

Today I like to screen the healthcare sector by dividend stocks with the highest stock performance since the beginning of the year.

The 20 most successful companies have realized a performance between 22.01 percent and 73.98 percent. The average capital gain was 36.24 percent. Despite the strong stock price hike, seventeen of them still have a buy or better rating.

Best Dividend Paying Stock List As Of July 2013

Best Dividend Paying Stock Lists By Dividend Yield – Stock, Capital, Investment

The recent sell-off on the market made stocks a little bit cheaper but they are not real bargains. Some stocks are still very high valueated and only a few single stocks have become more attractive.

It’s important to own good long-term growth stocks at reasonable prices in order to receive a good investment return. If the company grows further and accelerates its growth, your stake will definitely become larger over the time.

Each month, I create a quick dividend list (from low-yield to high-yield paying stocks) of shares with interesting performance and valuation figures. Stocks from that list are mid- and large caps (market capitalization of more than USD 1 billion) with double-digit long-term earnings growth rates. The companies are traded at AMEX, NYSE, NASDAQ and part of the Dow Jones, S&P 500 or Nasdaq Composite. The list is selected by the following criteria and sorted by dividend yield.

Market Capitalization: > 1 Billion
Price/Earnings Ratio: > 0 < 100
Dividend Yield: > 3 < 20
Return on Investment: > 10 < 100
Operating Margin: > 10 < 100
10 Year Revenue Growth: > 8 < 200
10 Year EPS Growth: > 10 < 100

Exactly thirty companies fulfilled the above mentioned criteria. The top pick is still the commodity stock southern copper with a 12.42 percent yield. Nearly half of the results come from the basic material sector. Technology stocks are the second best investment category. Eighteen of the results have a current buy or better rating.
