Warren Buffett Buys And Sells These Stocks Surprisingly

Warren Buffett and his team of portfolio managers listed some 148 positions worth a whopping $147.9 billion in equities in the official Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. This compared to $128.8 billion as of the end of the third quarter of 2016 and $115.46 billion as of December 31.

It is important to understand that some changes are made by Warren Buffett himself, with 14 sub-entities of Berkshire Hathaway in prior filings. Other changes may have come from the likes of newer portfolio managers Ted Weschler and Todd Combs. It appears as though the Buffett portfolio managers have been given much larger investing amounts.

If there is one key takeaway for the 2017 stocks it would be that this was one of the largest changes we have seen in years. New stakes were added and other stakes were grown. Other stakes were cleaned out or decreased.

9 Potential Dividend Aristocrats You Need To Know

Long term dividend growth investing is a popular investing strategy. Investors are looking for stocks with a long dividend history and keep an eye on those companies with raising dividends.

There’s an elite sub-group of S&P 1500 stocks known as “Dividend Aristocrats” which have a distinguishing factor that income growth investors find very attractive: a history of consistently increasing dividends every year for at least 20 consecutive years.

And interestingly enough, for the last 10 years, this elite group has out-performed both the S&P 1500 and the benchmark S&P 500.

The lag of current Dividend Aristocrats is that they have shown a good past performance but this does not mean that they will perform in the future well.

In addition Dividend Aristocrats are very expensive due to the high quality they offer. That's in my view a good reason for looking into the second level.

Attached you will find 10 companies identified as “future dividend aristocrats contenders,” these being members of the S&P 1500 and not that many years away from showing the required two decades of dividend growth.

These are the results...

10 Companies With The Biggest Share Buybacks

Attached you will find a list of the stocks with the biggest share buybacks of the recent quarter. Apple is still the king of buybacks, also due to its large cash flow and big size.

The tech company bought 6 billion in own shares. Number two is United Technologies.

The military stock purchased 5.1 billion in own shares back. You can also see the amount of dividends paid in the list. It's also good to see that shareholders received cash dividends.

These Dividend Growth Stocks Could Reduce Its Dividends In The Future

With interest rates now having spent years near their all-time lows, many investors who might prefer safer assets have moved to dividend stocks as a way to generate income from their investments.

The problem with this strategy is that it only works if the companies that have been mailing out those dividend checks can afford to keep doing so.

Therefore, income investors should probably avoid putting their money into any company that is currently experiencing a financial hardship that might threaten its ability to continue making dividend payments.

I started my research by screening the Dividend Champions list by stocks with unsustainable dividend measures. High payouts, high debt, low growth and a cyclic business model are key drivers for an unsustainable dividend.

Each of the attached results grown its dividend over 10 consecutive years.

Here are the results from my research, sorted by highest debt load...

11 Dividend Growth Opportunities For November 2015

Investing in stocks that pay dividends can be agreat way to build wealth over time, as companies that regularly dish out cash payments to their investors tend to outperform the market over the long-term.

However, investors can't just pick any dividend paying company and expect to do well, as many other factors like the companies growth prospects balance sheet, and valuation also need to be factored in to the equation.

Attached you will find my best picks for November 2015.

19 Cheap Dividend Achievers With 10%+ Earnings Growth Forecast

Dividend investing is a great strategy if you’re investing for the long term but you need to have a strong focus on growth in order to gain a change of a return in the future. A decreasing business has no chance to create values in the future.

Businesses that have a long-term trend of growing earnings are businesses that become more profitable and valuable over time. Sure, dividends can pay us while we hold on to the shares of the business, but capital growth of the shares is nice to see over time as well. And price appreciation is spurred by consistent earnings growth. More importantly, though, as mentioned in tip three, dividends come from earnings. So, earnings growth implies a safer dividend.

Earnings growth is good but the company should also consider sharing this success with its shareholder by paying higher dividends or starting a share buyback in order to get money back to the owners of the corporate.

So, we want to invest in companies that tend to grow their earnings, but it doesn’t make sense for dividend investors if the company doesn’t increase its dividend.

After all, the safest dividend is the one that was just raised. So, it benefits dividend investors to look for companies that have a history of growing dividends. If it’s already ingrained in the culture of the company to increase dividends each year, they’re likely to continue doing so.

Attached are 19 stocks with double digit earnings growth forecasts and attractive valuation figures. Earnings growth is estimated at 10% plus for the next five years while forward P/E is under 15.

These are my 5 top results...

11 Basic Material Stocks With Low Debt And Dividend Payout Ratios

Basic material dividend stocks with low dividend payout ratios and small debt figures originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. The basic material sector is not popular at the capital market for the time being. Over the past year, shares from the sector are the worst performing assets class on the market.

But what others hate does not mean that you cannot make money with basic material stocks. If you are a long-term investor, you should definitely find some good stocks with a cheap valuation. But be careful, raw materials are also more cyclic than consumer or healthcare companies.

Today I would like to continue my monthly screen about dividend stocks with low debt ratios and little dividend payments. I observe stocks from the basic material sector with a dividend payout ratio of less than 20 percent of earnings as well as a debt to equity ratio under 0.2.

Exactly eleven stocks fulfilled these criteria of which eight are currently recommended to buy. Agrichemicals and specialty chemical companies are the dominating player on the list.

These 42 Stocks Planning To Pay More Dividends

Stocks with dividend hikes from last week originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. Last week, around 42 companies announced a high dividend. I published all stocks with dividend growth from the recent week in the attached dividend list. In average, stocks from the list of the latest dividend growth stocks have increased their dividend payments by 15.51 percent.

It’s always good to see how the dividend growth strategy works. Some of the dividend growers have raised their payments forty times and more. The biggest names come from the oil and gas sector. Eni and Total are the two biggest stocks followed by the British spirit maker Diageo.

Five of the results have a double-digit dividend yield and seven yielding above five percent. Analysts and brokerage firms recommend more than half, 26 in total, of the dividend growth stocks.
