Future Dividend Achievers To Boost Dividends

Dividend Achievers and Challengers By Dividend Yields - Stock, Capital, Investment. The dividend achievers index contains stocks which have increased their annual dividends for at least ten or more consecutive years.

One of my favorite Bloggers (Dividend Growth Investor) researched four companies which have raised dividends for over five years in a row (Dividend Challengers), which also announced that their Boards have approved dividend hikes over the past week. In five years, they could become Dividend Achievers:

Here are the four companies:

Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (ETE)
Yield: 5,6 Percent

General Mills, Inc. (GIS)
Yield: 3,3 Percent

Oil-Dri Corporation of America (ODC)
Yield: 3,2 Percent

Darden Restaurants, Inc. (DRI)
Yield: 3,5 Percent

Tech Stocks with highest Dividend Yield

The table below highlights the 20 largest dividend payers in the S&P 500 Technology sector. Paychex (PAYX) tops the list with a yield of 4.1%, followed by Intel (INTC) with a yield of 4.0%. There are currently five Technology sector stocks yielding more than the 10-Year US Treasury. Who would have thought ten years ago that the day would ever come where an equally weighted basket of Cisco (CSCO), Intel (INTC) and Microsoft (MSFT) -- three of the highest flyers of the 1990s tech boom -- would have a comparable payout (2.7%) to the 10-Year Treasury (2.87%)?
