My Favorite Dividend Paying Buyback Hero Stocks

As you might know, I am a big fan of dividend growth and stock buybacks. Each action is a shareholder friendly way to give money back to the owner of the company.

Dividends are direct and share buybacks are indirect and more tax efficient. Both activities only make sense if the management team has a clear view about the valuation and growth perspectives or potential of the corporation. If there is an opportunity to grow with low risk, dividends shouldn't be paid in a big way. The same is neccessary for buybacks. There must be a mix of both in balance with growth.

Today I like to share a sheet of interesting stocks with good outstanding buyback programs. I've focused my research on growth and dividends while the valuation level doesn't exceed critical levels.

Here are my results...

20 Quality Buybacks At A Reasonable Price

On one hand, many would argue that the emphasis on share repurchases is merely a sign of the times – the US economy continues to grow (albeit slowly) while corporates enjoy ample balance sheet flexibility in an entirely unprecedented ultralow interest rate environment characterized by the Fed’s ongoing reluctance to raise rates as much of the world’s government debt has moved to negative yields…

On the other hand, buyback activity near all-time highs could be considered a potential sign that the current Bull Market is approaching its peak. While there is a plausible argument supporting greater share repurchases – return of excess cash in the absence of viable alternative investments – firms have historically exhibited poor timing.

Management tends to repurchase shares in bull markets when profits are high and balance sheets are flush with cash, while cutting back during recessions (precisely the time they should be buying over the long term).

Warren Buffett's 20 Best Performing Stocks Year-To-Date

Warren Buffett is among the best investors in stock market history, and millions of people follow his picks closely to try to find ideas for their own portfolios.

Even though the overall stock market hasn't made much headway so far in 2016, the Oracle of Omaha has managed to include some solid year-to-date performers within his own holdings, as Buffett recently reported to the SEC on Form 13-F.

In particular, four of Buffett's stocks have given investors strong double-digit returns in 2016, and shareholders want to know if the Buffett magic will continue.

Let's take a look at these 20 best performing top stocks from the Buffett Portfolio Year-to-date...

Warren Buffett Adds Surprisingly 14 Stocks And Sells 10 Companies

Berkshire revealed in a regulatory filing Monday that it had also bought additional stock of several companies it already owns, including General Motors, increasing its stake by 22% to 50 million shares, Twenty-First Century Fox by 44% to nearly 9 million shares, and IBM by 2%.

Berkshire disclosed last month that it lost $2 billion on its IBM investment and increased the number of shares it held in its portfolio by 25%. One of Buffett’s major buys: 59 million shares of AT&T.

Buffett did sell some stocks, most notably trimming his stake in Goldman Sachs (GS) and Wal-Mart (WMT).

Berkshire had about 11 million shares of Goldman Sachs as of Sept. 30, compared with 12.6 million three months earlier, according to a filing Monday disclosing holdings as of the end of the third quarter. The stake in Wal-Mart dropped to 56.2 million shares from 60.4 million.

The value of Berkshire’s holdings increased 19% to $127 billion, as many of those shares declined. Overall the S&P 500 lost about 7% of its value during the quarter.

40 Stocks With Massive Upside Potential Accordance To Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs has recently created a sheet of stocks with high upside and downside targets. They published a list with 40 stocks with the highest possibility to create or destroy values.

I've attached the list. The full article with 40 additional stocks with the most downside potential can be found on Bloomberg. Mattel, Wynn and Viacom are the top picks in with dividend payments in pipeline.

There is more value inside. Just look at the results but beware of the debt loaded stocks. I'm not a fan of casino stocks like Wynn or LVS. Both are very sensitive in fincial crisis. Here are the results listed....

Warren Buffett Buys Surprisingly These 8 Dividend Stocks

Warren Buffett is one of the most respected investors on the market at current times.

He created a massive portfolio in his life which is worth around $107 billion. Recently, Warren announced his latest stock buys and sells during the past quarter.

His moves are watched closely because value and dividend growth investors try to catch a new idea from his thoughts and strategic buys and sells.

During the past quarter, Warren bought eight stocks and reduced seven positions. He did not close a full position or initiated a new.

The biggest acquisition by value was Wells Fargo, followed by Visa. Most of his stock increases had a P/E of less than 15 and pay a dividend.

These are the latest dividend stock buys from Warren Buffett from Q1/2015...

Warren Buffett Buys Surprisingly These 9 Top Dividend Stocks

Warren Buffett is one of the most respected investors on the market. When he invests, it’s mostly a guarantee for follow investors to make money but as we have seen in the past, it’s often not true.

Warren makes mistakes when you think on the investments in Exxon, Tesco, DaVita or even ConocoPhillips.

However, it's always good to know what moves he makes and he did a big shot during the latest quarter. Let's take a deeper look at his dividend picks. Here are the results: Warren Buffett's latest Stock Buys and Sells.
