10 S&P Stocks With The Lowest Cash To Debt Ratios

Apple has tons of cash, right, but the technology giant also owns massive debt.

If you subtract those burdens from the cash account, you see that Apples cash is much smaller as many might think. A useful way to evalueate this problem is to calculate the cash-to-debt ratio.

Cash To Debt Ratio compares a company's operating cash flow to its total debt, which, for purposes of this ratio, is defined as the sum of short-term borrowings, the current portion of long-term debt and long-term debt.

This ratio provides an indication of a company's ability to cover total debt with its yearly cash flow from operations. The higher the percentage ratio, the better the company's ability to carry its total debt.

Attached I've made the effort to select those stocks from the S&P 500 with the lowest cash to debt ratio

These are the 10 stocks with the lowest ratio...

Despite Market Sell-Off: 16 S&P 500 Stocks Close To Fresh 52-Week Highs

Stock markets are in correction mode but not all stocks declined within the past months.

Not so surprisingly, they’re mostly defensive names like staples and utilities.

After all, we’ll need to stock up on plenty of cans of Campbell soup and Hormel SPAM for our bunkers to ride out the market volatility (not to mention the 2016 elections!).

Looking back at 2011, not only did most of these stocks perform respectably during the 2011 selloff, they participated in the rally back (although on a low beta).Attached you will find a selection of stocks near 52-Week Highs.

Only 16 companies from the S&P 500 have achieved this.

Here are the results...

20 Top Yielding Electic Utilites With Sustainable Dividend Payouts For Growth

Well-managed electric utilities are excellent candidates for a dividend reinvestment portfolio. Typically, electric utilities generate lots of excess cash and pay it out as dividends to shareholders.

But not all utilities are equal. Some pay high amounts of their net income to shareholders in form of dividends, other only a small part. Be very wary of stocks with high dividend yields and high payout ratios. They are not sustainable and increase the debt level of the company over the long-term.

I'm looking for those utilities with low dividend payouts in order to get sustainable dividend payments over years that might grow, year over year for decades.

Attached you can find a detailed list of 20 electric utilities that might give investors a small hedge due to a solid dividend growth history and sustainable dividend payouts.

These are the 4 top yielding results in detail...

47 Top High-Yielding Stocks With Ex-Dividend Date In October 2013

Monthly high yielding shares researched by long-term-investments.blogspot.com. Close to the end of the month, I would like to highlight some of the best yielding ex-dividend shares for October.

If you are a daily reader of my blog, you would have noticed that I publish regularly lists about ex-dividend stocks. It’s a great information tool for investors who love it to receive dividends. If you purchase a stocks quick before the ex-dividend date, you get a faster cash return but you will not make extra gains with these money because on the ex-date, the stock would also be traded ex-dividend but with yields of about 0.5 percent quarter dividend or so, you will definitely see no big changes because the daily fluctuations are much higher.

However, every month, I create a small list about interesting high yielding stocks with ex-dividend date for the next month. I think it could bring you some values to see what companies pay you cash next month with an attractive equity story.

As result, I found 47 stocks with an average dividend yield of 5.76 percent. Eight stocks have a double-digit yield and additional eight stocks have a high yield below 10 percent but over 5 percent. 21 stocks from the results have a buy or better recommendation.
