The only thing better than oversold stocks are oversold dividend stocks. The dividend, even if it’s a small one, acts as a hedge if you decide to purchase the stock and the trade moves against you.
I do a screen for oversold dividend stocks from time to time, not only because I’m hunting for value, but because oftentimes some names turn up that I’ve never heard of. There’s nothing I like more than a new stock with either a really boring name or one that piques my interest.
As an investor who finds value stocks to be less risky with higher chances of yielding market-beating returns, I’m always on the lookout for stocks that are oversold. Sometimes a lousy stock gets rightfully sold off and you should avoid it.
However, sometimes a stock gets taken down because investors are reacting emotionally. They sell first and ask questions later. That can create great opportunities for investors who are seeking a good stock at an undervalued price.
Other times, you have a stock that is subject to things like fluctuating commodity prices, but is likely to get back up once external factors stabilize.
Sometimes you might get lucky, and find that oversold stock that also pays a dividend. If you are correct in your assessment, you may get paid that dividend while you wait for the market to realize how wrong it was and send the stock back up.
Here are 20 interesting oversold dividend stocks worthy of consideration:

10 High-Yielding Small Caps For A Portfolio Return Boost
I'm a big fan of large capitalized
stocks because most of them offer a huge diversification. But the great lack of
bigger companies is that they do not grow at a fast pace. I'm not talking about
Apple, those are exceptions.
The reason is
simple: A company with a market cap of $500 million will simply have more room
to grow than a company with a market cap of $50 billion. If it makes it to $1
billion, and you've invested, you double your money; if the large cap company
adds $500 million to its market cap, you've only made 1%.
Today I would like
to introduce 10 stocks with a yield higher than 3 percent and P/E valuations in an acceptable area while the market capitalization doesn’t reach the 2 billion levels.
These are my results:

20 Most Hated Dividend Stocks From The Services Sector
Most sold short services dividend stocks originally
published at "long-term-investments.blogspot.com". The services sector
is a big part of the economy and the financial markets. Roughly 850 companies have a relationship to the sector
– That’s around 13.3 percent of the overall market by number of constituents.
Today I like to show you which services dividend
stocks are most hated within the financial industry. Investors hate such stocks
by selling them short. They believe in a falling stock price and want to profit
from it.
My screen
includes only mid- and large capitalized companies with a float short ratio of more
than 5 percent.
The 20 most hated stocks have a float short ratio
between 8.79 and 29.31 percent. Gamestop is the most sold company. Seven of the
results have a current buy or better rating by brokerage firms.
