10 Best Stocks With Buyback Yields Up To 24.9%

Investors love companies that pay dividends. But dividends aren’t the only way firms send money to shareholders. They can also buy back their own stock.

Companies that aggressively repurchase their shares tend to outperform the market.

A portfolio made up of the 10% of stocks with the highest buyback yields, rebalanced each year, was the best performer over the long term.

It gained an average of 13.7% annually from 1927 through to the end of 2009. In comparison, the market gained 10.5% per year over the same period and stocks with the lowest 10% of buyback yields climbed only 5.9% per year.

Buybacks, also called share repurchases, are a controversial financial tool. Some companies truly have more cash then they need so they return it to shareholders by buying existing shares in the open market.

This buying support and reduction in outstanding shares helps increase the value of remaining shares, in a fairly tax efficient manner.

However, companies may also use buybacks as a means to boost earnings per share in order to please short-term investors, analyst estimates, and executives looking to increase their bonuses. Nonetheless, the buyback trend is still going strong.

Attached I've compiled 10 of the S&P 500 stocks with the biggest Buyback Yield.

Here are the best companies by buyback yield...

The 20 Worst Performing Dividend Paying Stocks for 2016

Sometimes, when we try to have our cake and eat it, too, life comes back to bite us. Or, in this case, the market comes back to bite us. Such was the case this year for investors who bought growth stocks that also offered up dividends.

We are looking for the Worst Stocks for 2016. In these times of market turbulence, it’s our job to watch out for the worst investments that can sink your portfolio. Our search is not merely limited to the worst stock in the Dow or S&P.

Below you will find the 20 worst performing dividend paying stocks for the year 2016. Sometimes you will find there really attractive bargains. Oversold companies with a big group of short seller.

Those could be really great investing opportunities. Heathcare stocks is the worst performing group. I like GILD, AMGN, NVO and AZN. Which do you like from the list?

These are the 20 worst performing large cap dividend paying stocks....

Dividend Growth Stock Compilation Of The Past Week

Readers of this space know that the primary focus of my dividend portfolio is to create ever-increasing income money machine by investing in dividend growth securities.

A slew of mixed earnings reports were released over the past week. Investor sentiment remains particularly fragile with uncertainty related to the U.S. Presidential election and the future trajectory of interest rates and global monetary stimulus.

These factors were enough to nudge the S&P 500 Index slightly lower on the week, even despite dozens of dividend stocks increasing their dividend payouts or just their payments to shareholders.

As a savvy investor, I always make a note of companies that recently raised their dividends. I do this for two reasons:

- First, I like to stay as informed as possible.

- Second, a dividend hike may introduce me to a company that I’ve never heard of or researched before, giving me the opportunity to learn about the company, dig deeper into its financials, and maybe even become a shareholder.

With all of this in mind, let’s take a look at 40 big companies that have raised their dividends during the past week.

Here is the compilaton of the 40 latest dividend raiser...

15 Rapidly Growing Dividend Achievers

Exposure to fast-growing dividend payers should excite even the most conservative investors.

Instead of just buying a stock that’s cheap, or one that’s growing earnings fast, we look for stocks that appear decently priced with respect to year-over-year growth.

By focusing only on the consistent growers, you score bigger checks every year (or more shares bought when reinvesting).

More importantly, steady dividend increases bode well for a stock's future. Today I'd like to share a few specific dividend stocks with you that seems to be attractive in terms of price to growth.

For example, a company growing 15% annually with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 15 or less would be considered really cheap but also very rare.

Attached you will find  a couple of Dividend Achievers with a P/E under 20 and five year expected earnings growth of more than 10%.

12 Undervalued Dividend Growth Stocks Warren Buffett Could Add To His 356 Billion Empire

Warren Buffett built his $60 billion-plus fortune by buying high-quality businesses at discounts - that's a fact.

The Oracle of Omaha summed up his love for bargains with this quote: "Whether we're talking about socks or stocks, I like buying quality merchandise when it is marked down."

Today I will look at several dividend-paying businesses that are industry leaders with strong competitive advantages.

My main criteria are focussed on low price multiples like forward P/E and Free Cashflow P/E. In addition each of the stocks should have an estimated earnings outlook for the next five years of more than 5% yearly.

The market has unfairly punished all of these businesses. You can take advantage of current discounts by loading up on these high-quality businesses trading at bargain prices.

Here are the results...

These Dividend Growth Stocks Could Reduce Its Dividends In The Future

With interest rates now having spent years near their all-time lows, many investors who might prefer safer assets have moved to dividend stocks as a way to generate income from their investments.

The problem with this strategy is that it only works if the companies that have been mailing out those dividend checks can afford to keep doing so.

Therefore, income investors should probably avoid putting their money into any company that is currently experiencing a financial hardship that might threaten its ability to continue making dividend payments.

I started my research by screening the Dividend Champions list by stocks with unsustainable dividend measures. High payouts, high debt, low growth and a cyclic business model are key drivers for an unsustainable dividend.

Each of the attached results grown its dividend over 10 consecutive years.

Here are the results from my research, sorted by highest debt load...

10 Stocks With Higher Dividends In The Past Week

Let's take a look at last week's dividend growth stocks. In total, only 10 stocks raised dividend payments. The biggest and well-known names are Accenture, Lockheed Martin. Both stocks also announced a buyback programe.

Which of the stocks do you like? Are they fairly priced in your view?

Attached is a small sheet of all stocks with Ex-Dates, Payment Date, increasing rate and total payment amount. You will also find a sheet with the latest Buyback announcements of the past week.

Bed Bath & Beyond, Paccar, Metlife, AmerisourceBergen were the biggest stocks on the list.

Why You Should Look At These 16 Stocks With Cheap Free Cash Flows

When you put money into the market, you should be aware of the market valuation. One of the major problems in valuation is definitely to predict future cash-flows.

Nobody of us has a crystal-ball and no one can predict the future.

The second problem is that there are companies that must invest massively into the business model in order to boost growth or to replace old machines or buildings.

Investors often calculate with free cash flows. Those are the real income of the company, available for dividends, buybacks or mergers and acquisitions.

Today I like to introduce the cheapest Dividend Achievers with a low price to free cash flow of less than 15.

16 companies fulfilled my criteria of which four have a dividend yield over 3 percent. The most of the results come from the property and casualty insurance industry.

Insurer generates massive cash but they have also big problems with decreasing premiums and increasing competition. There are always good reasons why some companies are cheap.

You may also like my article about the best dividend stocks from the title insurance industry. I still prefer, like Warren Buffett, the fastest growing companies from the insurance sector. Those are ACE, UNH and TRV.

82 Shareholder Friendly Stocks of the Week

Below are the top dividend growth stocks and share buyback companies of the week. On the list are some pretty good yielding stocks. Big names like Starbucks, Emerson Electric or Honeywell.

AIG, Motorola and Royal Caribbean Cruises are the biggest stocks with a fresh buyback announcement during the past week.

Cheap is a question of growth. A faster growing company can be higher valuated. Only 17 of the stocks have a forward P/E of less than 15.

6 Best Risk Rewarded Dividend Stocks From The S&P 500

Investors should take care about the risk when they plan to invest. A good and well-known indicator for the risk assessment is the Shape ratio.

The ratio evaluates the performance of the stock in relation to its volatility. It's also a figure that is based on the past performance data. Future developments are not detected.

Below are 6 stocks from the S&P 500 with very attractive Sharpe ratios. My main criteria are a dividend yield of more than 1 percent at a payout ratio of less than 100 percent of earnings.

The top risk rewarded dividend stocks from the S&P 500 are....

20 Dividend Challengers With Fastest Growing Dividends

Dividend Challengers with fastest growing dividend payments originally published at "long-term-investments.blogspot.com". Recently I screened Dividend Champs with the fastest rate of dividend growth. Mc Donald’s was my best yielding pick. I noticed that the top 20 stocks had a 10 year dividend growth performance of remarkable 10 to 30 percent yearly but for most of them, the performance slowed within the recent years.

It’s not possible of any company to raise dividends at a very high rate over a longer period. It’s also not possible to raise dividend payments with a gaining momentum. Every company that does this must reduce its growth speed over the time.

Today, I like to introduce some of the fastest growing dividend payers that have raised their distributions at least for five consecutive years but less than ten years. Here, the best results have grown their dividend payments over the recent five years with a rate of 90 to 30 percent. That’s definitely a higher growth figure but as I told, very growth rate will come down.

Below the top results of my screen are eleven stocks with a buy or better rating. Three of them are High-Yields.

100 Stocks At All-Time-Highs | 58 Dividend Stocks At New Highs

People love it to watch stocks that are going up and never stop to rise. In my blog “long-term-investments.blogspot.com” I present on a regular basis some interesting stocks at new 52-Week Highs or even better, stocks at All-Time Highs. Recently, 100 companies realized price marks they have never seen before. 58 of them pay dividends.

All-Time Highs are very good signals showing the strong investor confidence and they are indicating a well-running business as well.

If I look the huge number of stocks at All-Time Highs I can’t believe that it is really true. Remember the world economy is still in a recession and growth is weaker than predicted but the financial markets do not care about it. Stocks rally and we are close to All-Time Highs in some of the world’s most important indices. The main question for me is: Is this rally sustainable and correct or do you believe that this is a small bubble which becomes bigger and bigger. Let me know and we will discuss it in the comment area.

Below is a small list of the 20 most recommended dividend stocks which realized a new All-Time High within the recent trading days. Two high-yields are part of the results.
