17 Best Rated Monthly Dividend Paying Stocks With Big Yields

While most dividend paying stocks that trade on exchanges in the US pay quarterly, there are some stocks that pay their dividends on other schedules.

A handful pay their dividends semi-annually while there is a larger population of monthly dividend stocks.

While only one aspect that should be considered in selecting stocks for investment, monthly dividend payments can be advantageous for building wealth over time and to smooth out a dividend retirement income stream.

Attached you will find a compilation of monthly paying stocks that met the following criteria:

- Pay dividends of 6% (plus or minus)
- Are growing those dividends
- Have solid balance sheets

A handful of these businesses even have investment grade credit ratings. The table below provides a list of 17 monthly dividend stocks sorted on dividend yield.

These are the results...

The Best Monthly Dividend Stocks For High-Yield Income Investors

The table below provides a list of 17 monthly dividend stocks sorted on dividend yield.

A handful of these businesses even have investment grade credit ratings.

It should be noted that this list is not all inclusive of monthly dividend paying stocks as there were a few monthly distribution paying master limited partnerships (MLPs) and a couple of crude oil production trusts that I chose to leave off this initial list of stocks.

MLPs and crude oil trusts are not stocks and their accounting and financial reporting is sufficiently different that they should be covered separately.

48 Top Yielding Stocks With Ex-Dividend Date In April 2013

Monthly high yielding shares researched by “long-term-investments.blogspot.com”. Yields getting low and they will stay at this level when companies don’t hike future dividends. For investors who live from dividend payments like me, it’s very necessary to get a good yield for the money.

I always have a big picture of stocks that go ex-dividend in the near future in order to get quick cash back from my investments. Sure it’s not a trading strategy because after the ex-dividend date, the stock is also traded lower in the amount of the dividend.

However, I screen every month some interesting high yielding stocks with ex-dividend date within the next month. As result, I found 48 stocks with an average dividend yield of 5.20 percent. Five stocks have a double-digit yield and eight a high yield. 20 stocks from the results have a buy or better recommendation.

High Yield Stocks With Ex-Dividend Date June 2012

Monthly High Yield Shares By Ex-Dividend Dates. High yield investing is popular especially just before the next dividend payout. In order to receive the next dividend, investors must take a look at the ex-dividend date. If you own a share or fund before this day, you will receive the next dividend. I screened interesting high yield stocks going ex-dividend within the next month – June 2012. As result, we found 85 stocks with an average dividend yield of 6.52 percent.

Ex-Dividend Date Reminder For January 27, 2012

Here is a current overview of best yielding stocks that have their ex-dividend date on the next trading day. If your broker settles your trade today, you will receive the next dividend. A full list of all stocks with ex-dividend date can be found here: Ex-Dividend Stocks On January 27, 2012. In total, 33 stocks and preferred shares go ex-dividend of which 21 yielding above 3 percent. The average yield amounts to 5.35 percent.

The ex-dividend date is a major date related to the payment of dividends. If you purchase a stock on its ex-dividend date or later, you will not receive the next dividend payment. Instead, the seller gets the dividend. If you purchase before the ex-dividend date, you get the dividend. It is important that your broker settle your trade before the ex-dividend date.
